my life in activism

I am Ezekiel and i come from the interior part of kenya from the maasai community in kajiado west sub county, am a proffesional activist and a paralegal in my community, am married to one wife and a father of one son, i work in pearls of knowledge and am undergraduate student in jomo kenyatta university persueing law
my experience as a human right is activist is amazing,  to me it has being part of me as my passion to every single person in my community and in my country at large to get  their rights and freedoms as per laws of these country, i have started back in my college life in student unions and talk strongly on matters tha violate their rights and i acted in a position of a spokes person, i have taken time to familiarise my self with the bills of rights, articles that support the human rights and international laws that same on the same, i have also done alot of research some the violations that are common in my country as a whole.
When i finished college i went back to my community and form five  youth groups that exist up to date to help young people access public funds and assist them to get trainings on advocacy and how to invest and sustain themselves, i have also patnered with three NGOs that are interresed in youth empowerment that have really supported me in my co_work of youth activism.
All young people i associated with i made sure they get the activism agenda so well that its the main agenda after all other activities. i was able to communicate the agenda so strongly that every service provider must put accountability in place in each an every project done in my location of operation. The big advantage i had is influence and i utilise to achieve my agenda, i made sure am in terms with authorities where necessary and at time i risk to have my agenda fulfilled, to say the truth it has not been all that smooth but i thank God its possible if you try, am dedicate always and ever ready to make sure something new happen however, change is gradual and i have to flexible at time.
Some of the skills i used  to communicate as an activist are viral in nature since internet played a greater role in terms of planning and passing the needed information and since i did alot in the village offline networking played a great role using group work and one on one communication. The most important form i opted to use group meetings and cordinations of networks which worked with me so effectively, i also had a lot of support from the area chiefs and other patners in terms of mobilisation.
The greatest challenges of activism is fiscal issues, reactions of political climates and mobilisation challenge since many people tend to run away when pressures emerged.
One of my greatest memorable moment is when i found my in jail  after advocating for CDF bursary fund, thank you.
